INCE National Workshop Successfully Held at the State Palace

The Mongolian Evaluation Association in collaboration with the German Institute for Development Evaluation (DEval) and the Authority for Government Supervisory (Засгийн газрын Хяналт хэрэгжүүлэх газар) of Mongolia, successfully organized The Workshop on the Results of the National Evaluation Capacities Index (INCE) on May 14 at the Government Palace.

This event marked the official launch of Mongolia’s first-ever INCE results, covering 144 organizations across ministries, government agencies, local administrations, state-owned enterprises, universities, and civil society organizations. Notably, Mongolia is the first country in Asia to undertake and present the INCE assessment.

We were honored to welcome the DEval delegation, including

-Mr. Sven Harten, Deputy Director,

-Ms. Sarah-Désirée Klier Team Leader, and

-Ms. Sabine Palmreuther, Evaluation Expert.

The assessment revealed Mongolia’s average score to be 4.4, identifying the weaker and stronger area of evaluation institutionalization. With this baseline established, we now have a strong foundation to improve our national evaluation system through international standards, professional training, and technical cooperation.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all the participating institutions and colleagues who contributed to this important initiative. We look forward to continuing our collaboration to strengthen Mongolia’s evaluation ecosystem.
