2025 World Evaluation Case Competition

Mongolianevaluation

The eighth annual World Evaluation Case Competition (WECC) is open to student teams from all countries on the planet. It will take place on November 8, 2025.

Registration closes on October 24

WECC provides students with an opportunity to compete with counterparts around the world in solving an evaluation challenge. Student teams download an evaluation case and prepare a submission in nine hours or less. The submissions are reviewed and rated by an international panel of experts. WECC then announces World and Regional Champions. Every team receives feedback on its response to the case.

The evaluation case is presented in English. Teams working in any other language are allowed an additional hour for translating the case.

The expert panel has the capacity to review submissions in English, French or Spanish. Teams that work on the case in some other language will be allowed a further hour to produce their submission in one of those languages.

More information on the competition is provided at the WECC website.

This year’s case involves local programming for dealing with emergencies related to climate change. It should be a particularly challenging and exciting competition.
