MEA Indigenous Evaluation research team is working in Tsagaannuur soum

Mongolian Evaluation Association /MEA/ research team is working in Tsagaannuur soum, Khuvsgul aimag. A workshop for Indigenous Tsaatan people was successfully organized within the framework of the "Germinating the Capacity of the Indigenous Tsaatan Evaluators in Mongolia" project supported by the Asia Pacific Evaluation Association - APEA. 16 Indigenous Tsaatan representatives participated in the workshop and listened to the results of the first phase of the research implemented in 2024-2025, studied in depth what Indigenous Evaluation is, and O.Nomin, who participated at the 5th Asia-Pacific Evaluation Conference held in Tokyo in 2025, also shared her impressions and experiences. Researchers initiated a discussion using appreciative inquiry approach where Tsaatan shared their positive living experiences. It was a fruitful activity in which Tsaatan people expressed their interest in joining the MEA's Indigenous Evaluation Topical Interest Group. The research team will continue working in Tsagaannuur soum tomorrow. Stay tuned for more.
